  1. The Attenuation Cross Sections of 37-Mev Pions in Hydrogen

We previously reported 16.0±1.0 millibarns for the attenuation cross section of 37-Mev positive pions and 17.3±1.4 millibarns, for negative pions in hydrogen. Here we discuss an important correction.
  2. The Scattering of 40-Mev Positive Pions by Hydrogen

In this work, differential scattering cross sections of hydrogen for 40 ± 3-Mev positive pions have been measured at laboratory angles of 45, 60, 90, 120, and 140 degrees.
  3. The Total Cross Sections of Positive Pions in Hydrogen

In this work, the total cross sections of positive pions in hydrogen have been measured for pion energies of 56 Mev and above. Here we report a similar, though preliminary, measurement made at a mean energy of 37 Mev.
  4. The Signs of the Phase Shifts for Pion-Proton Scattering

In principle, it is possible to determine the sign of the pion-proton nuclear interaction by measuring the effect of interference between the nuclear and Coulomb amplitudes in pion-proton scattering. The findings are discussed in this work.
